A typical event at Happy Trees Painting is always unique! You will be instructed to paint your masterpiece in a relaxed environment. Most importantly? Happy Trees is a judgement-free zone! Whether you like to enjoy music and a cocktail, or just relax and zone out, we have a class that is perfect for you.
All you need to bring is your creativity! We provide everything: paint, canvas, brushes, aprons and step by step instructions. You can bring in any beverages (alcohol permitted) or food and snacks to enjoy. We are a BYOB establishment. Pro-Tip: Paint stains, and messes can happen. We recommend leaving your whites and delicates at home for this one.
Bummer! A 48 hour notice is required to have a studio credit issued to use at a later date. We do not issue refunds. No Shows will NOT be rescheduled. We welcome Winter and rarely cancel events due to weather, but the Midwest has a mind of it's own sometimes. In the event of inclement weather, we will reach out.

Private Events for adults start at $320 and kids events start at $200. Prices will range depending on your headcount and the type of class you are booking.
We recommend that you be at least 5 years old to paint at our studio and be accompanied by a grown-up if you’re under 16 years old. We do not allow parents to drop off unattended minors. Missouri State law requires you to be 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages at our studio.

Adult private parties are between $40-$50 per painter when you have 8 guests. If you have less than 8 guests, you may still book a private event but the cost per painter will increase.
Deposits are $80 and will be applied to the total.
The remaining balance will be due at the time of the class
Pricing depends on the painting or theme chosen.
The painting examples that are done on a blank canvas are $40
Specialty paintings that require a prepared outline are $45
Paint your Pet is $50 each
If you have guests attending that are not paying the painting fee it is $10 per person for the event space fee
Happy Trees Painting is located at Cap Gun Studios, 1219 Union Ave, Kansas City, MO 64101.
Our West Bottoms location is not handicap accessible as it is located in a historic building space. Please keep this in mind when booking your event and let us know if this is an issue for you. We will be able to work with you on finding a location that is accessible for you.
We are conveniently located above one of Kansas City's favorite live music venues, The Ship. Please take note that if you book a private event during our 7pm-9pm time slot the soundtrack for your party will be the live music coming from downstairs. The great news is that they book the best bands in town so this is a bonus!
